Absolute Pastured Poultry

Q: What is “naturally raised, pastured” poultry?

A: The best chickens are more “naturally raised” and “pastured” by growing in green pastures. This means that they are never exposed to any antibiotics, growth hormones or animal by-products in their food. Also, after the first 2-3 weeks, they are placed on natural fields of pasture that also have not been exposed to mass production agricultural practices or related chemicals for a significant number of years. Unlike today's mass production factory raised chickens (they are not really farms), more naturally raised, pastured chickens see the sun, breathe fresh air, interact with nature and have fresh new green life to explore each day. They are free to enjoy a much more natural environment.

Chicken – Year 2017 (contact us for details and information)

Chickens are “per chicken, per pound” each season with average weight ranges between approximately 3.5 to 7 pounds due to differences in age, male’s and hen’s sizes. Custom meat requires a pre-order reservation deposit per each chicken raised to your specifications.

Pastured chickens are noted for producing excellent high quality nutrient dense protein and flavor. These chickens are consistently rated by those who are knowledgeable chefs as "gourmet quality”. This level of quality can only be achieved through a natural, humane, pastured approach.

We strongly encourage you to contact us as soon as you have determined what number of chickens you will be committed to during the current season. All custom meat arrangements are by pre-order with a pre-order deposit per chicken. This helps in planning and adjusting numbers being raised. We thank you for your commitment to eat healthier and better quality food! You and your family will appreciate it!!
